Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday reviewed the agriculture department's five-year roadmap under the state's Vision-2047 plan, stressing the need to modernise farming, reduce cultivation costs, and improve market access to enhance farmers' incomes.Chairing a high-level meeting at the Haryana Civil Secretariat, Saini directed officials to implement all agriculture-related budget announcements and commitments within stipulated timelines so that govt schemes benefit every farmer.The govt has set a target to reclaim 1.40 lakh acres of waterlogged and saline farmland during the current year. The CM also called for satellite-based monitoring and scientific planning to prevent the recurrence of the problem.Reviewing the Soil Health Card scheme, officials said the state aims to issue 15 lakh cards, with over 50,000 soil samples already collected.
